I've been shooting basketball for the first time this weekend. I shot a women's game friday and men's saturday. I'm shooting another women's game tonight.

Any comments and tips are appreciated. I posted these before, but in the wrong area so I thought I'd put them where they belong and maybe get them some more visibility from people looking in this category.

More and bigger here: UC Womens Basketball vs. EKU - a set on Flickr

taken on assignment for The News Record.

From the men's game 12/19
Men's basketball was a whole new beast... they move much faster, pass more, jump, shoot more 3 pointers, dunk, and on top of all that you gotta make sure you're not getting edged out by people from The Associated Press, Cincinnati Enquirer, and more. hahaha.... they were all EXTREMELY friendly though.

Thanks everyone!

ah yeah, I forgot to mention that.

I was using a Nikon D90 and a Nikon D50 with a Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 and Nikkor 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 lenses.

I was shooting in Aperture priority mode with both cameras and keeping them as low as possible. Both cameras were on ISO 1600, which causes for some ugly grain in the full size versions, but there wasn't much I could do about it and the photos still worked for what their purpose was (as can be seen here).
