Shooting in the rain

Weather has been crap lately - always seems to rain on my days off. I get the blues if I stay indoors on my days off and need to go out and take some pics. Any advice?

I'm thinking of taking out the hatchback, finding spots and setting up the tripod in the back of the car to avoid getting wet lol.

Did you do a search on any waterproofing type gear? I have seen sleeves that can cover your camera and your hand and part of your arm that would work to keep your camera dry.

The car idea sounds like a good idea though if you don't do a look of shooting in bad weather.
