Shooting into the Sun

Hi, I love the look of photos shot into the sun, like the ones below. Any tips on getting these looks? Thanks!

Here is my attempt at shooting into the sun:

I could see the flair in the viewfinder so I positioned it to where I knew that it would be easiest to remove. Then I shot, then I 'shopped. And that's what I got.
