Shooting with a 50mm.

Just want to get some input on what you guys think. I got the camera about a month ago and have been shooting everyday just about. A local DJ waned me to snap a few for him.

I am shooting on manual with a 50mm and little editing on a Canon 20D. Some only have a boarder with no editing at all! I love the 50mm shot at 1.8.

i like 2,3,4 out of the bunch. i dont even know whats going on in #1..... wayyyy too dark. the other ones are alright... i feel its kinda lacking subject.

What do you mean by lacking subject?
#1 I did that on purpose, I guess if he was white it would show up better but that was the effect I was looking for.

you really need to check out some stuff on composition and exposure. imo almost all the shots you posted are underexposed and confusingly composed. Check out the book Understanding Exposure.
