I don't know, but it seemed to be like an entrance to a death camp (without knowing its history)...kind of eerie. It is a memorial dedicated to the Confederate Army. Resurgens translate to "Rise Again."

What a connection ! Let me assure you death camps didn't have such a beautiful gates, they were rather of very simple, utilitarian and ugly type. Nothing artistic like this.

It looks military as it is about military.
Wehrmacht had not much to do with camps. It was SS.
