Sigma 10-20 vs Canon 10-22

I love having the ultra wide angle. I bought it for landscapes primarily...but it was super fun to use at a family party as well.

10mm is fun to use ANY time!

as for both lenses being for APS-C only
... I guess most people would not need a 10mm on a 35mm sensor. so once you switch to full frame, you might be very happy with a 16mm or 17mm wide angle (at least I am).

normally an upgrade to full frame will put a question mark on your whole lens collection you used with APS-C anyway.

I never used APS-C, but I guess if I did, my lenses would look very different from what they do now.

10mm * 1.6 = 16mm. (stating the obvious here)

If I had a 10mm on my current crop camera, under what circumstances should I look into a full-frame with 16mm wide angle lens? What makes full-frame better, other than wide angle?

Sorry to hijack my own thread :D

lower noise at high ISO, better image quality, larger file sizes sometimes, the list goes on...

i would guess it is much harder to build a 10mm lens for APS-C than a 16mm lens for a 35mm sensor which both give the same image quality in the final print (equal sized).

does anyone have a comparison between 10mm on APS-C and 16mm on 35mm-sensor?
