Sigma 120-300mm OS Sport + TC 2X - test shots

I have this lens for a couple months now but did not have a chance to test it. Here are a few shots I took today... Majority of these shots are at max focal length (600mm) with Aperture (f7.1 or f8) and ISO (320 or 400). These were taken on a Nikon D7100. I have not have a chance to fine tune the lens using the USB dock yet... Lens is straight out from the box attached to D7100. So far, I can't complain about the image quality. These are quite sharp even zoom/crop 100% on my monitor. Lens is quite heavy to handheld for a few hours. Some of these shots are on a tripod - my arms are not used to this type of weight for about 3 hours shooting... All images are resized to post here. Just sharing...

Nice shootin' Looks to be about the same sharpness as mine. I generally keep it at F8 with the 2x on. Although I'm waiting for my TC to come back from sigma as it stopped functioning.. Sigma has great service. I purchased my TC used so I had no warranty, when I went to check my repair order, it was already fixed and in the mail back to me same day as they received it, no charge!

It's good to hear about Sigma's customer service. I purchased the lens from B&H but the TC is from Keh so I have limited warranty on that. Hopefully, nothing goes bad.

Cool. The TC 2X does degraded the image quality a little but I think it's acceptable IQ and still quite sharp. I will probably try to stack TC 1.4 + TC2.0 to see how it is...
