Sigma 17-55 2.8

I found a sigma 17-55 2.8 at a good price but I own a Canon 7D. Would this lens at the wide end be wide enough for landscapes on my crop sensor?

Anyway, 17-50mm is a moderate wide angle to moderate telephoto on a crop frame.

Yes, if it is a DG series lens and not a DC series lens. DC series lenses are only for crop sensors whereas DG series will work on either FF or crop.

so..which lens do you have?
either way you are fine for a crop frame camera. I think it is wide enough for landscape. not that you couldnt go wider and be good too, but we have plenty of people here that shoot landscape with a 17-50 lens.
