Sigma 24-70mm vs 28-70mm f/2.8

So I was thinking about getting the 28-70mm f/2.8 when I saw the 24-70mm f/2.8

I searched on here and found a little bit about them...but not enough to really help me make a decision.

So is the extra 4mm really worth the price difference?

Am I missing anything totally horrible about either of these lenses? They are at about my max price range right now...so I have a feeling this is about as good as it gets for me at the moment. The cheaper one would mean I could get it that much faster...so...ya. Im sick of my kit lens though, so it never ever gets used.

I don't know about the difference between those two, but i have been doing some research for normal lenses and apparently the Tamron 28-75mm is better than the sigma.
You might want to check it out.

I love the Canon 24-70mm f2.8. Its the best lens ever. A bit heavy oh well great work out lol.
