sigma 30 vs nikon 35 f/2

which is better for portraits on a d80? i heard the sigma misfoucuses alot?

I shoot a Nikkor 35 f/2 a lot. I use it for a "normal" lens and do a lot of low light/available light work with it. It's very sharp, is relatively fast to focus and does so accurately. It was my choice and I am happy with it, then again I own only one Sigma lens and it came on a ePay body.
