My local thrift store has a Sigma 400mm apo for Minolta A mount. I have a Nikon F mount camera. Is there an adapter to make this work?

I see an adapter for minolta md to nikon f on b&h.
Thought that if Incould make it work, this would be an inexpensive way to get a telephoto.

Thanks

You might only be able to shoot it at it's maximum aperture

So would the minolta md adapter work for minolta-a to nikon f?

Not sure that I will gamble on it if the lens will only work at max aperture, but I want to ensure that it will at least mount up with the adapter.

Years ago I bought a 70-200f2.8 apo for Canon and it would only shoot at f2.8 they used to rechip them but not any more that lens could be the same
