A personal favourite from a series of photos I took while my brother and I went fishing...

Opinions/thoughts?

Silhouettes are tough, this one is over exposed, I can see too much detail and yet not enough at the same time.

Needs deeper DOF and less exposure.

For yours I would like to see all of the fishing rod nice and sharp but at the same time none of the stripe on the jacket or the color in the bush.

Okay - then I no longer classify this as a silhouette.

I love taking pictures of silhouettes but they are also quite hard and usually you would have to take at least two or more pictures to get the desired results. So my advice would be take at least two pictures with different exposure and see which one you like the most.
