Is it possible to attach an umbrella swivel on an On-Stage microphone stand (kind of like the one on the link) to hold an umbrella and flash?

Sure you can...alittle duct tape and you can mount it just about anywhere.

Although tape may work deppending on how you want the umbrela angled. What you are looking for are called clamps / grips. There are several kinds to choose from depending on what you need. They are made by many companies. Cheap ones can be had on ebay as well as good ones from photo stores.
