Having recently started skating (again) with the intention of getting relatively good I thought it would be fun to begin combining photography with a new hobby.
With some of my skateboarding interests being with its development through the 80s, including the amazing style, I thought it would be fun to link my own development with the roots of skateboarding!
I wanted the cheesy look of a lot of 80s photos, techniques that appear cheesy and silly in Today's World.
I popped a flash with a long shutter to get some of the movement while keeping the shoes sharp-ish. I zoomed the flash into 105mm to get an even smaller spread of flash than I would usually with the fisheye. I was originally going to correct the conflicting white balances but ended up liking it!
It wasn't a huge project but comments would be appreciated!
