Sky From My Window - HELP AND C&C PLEASE!!!

Hi All,

I just looked out of my window and saw a beautiful red sky, I grabbed my Samsung PL201 Point & Shoot and stood for quite a while playing with settings to try and get the shot that I wanted! I found that I couldn't capture the red colouring of the sky without the road and buildings becoming extremely underexposed. Yet when I got the buildings to look as I wanted I lost the colour in the sky, any help/feedback would be great!!

My understanding is that you'd need to bracket the exposures and merge via an HDR product when there's too much of a difference between the lighter and darker parts of your subject.

Or just use Photoshop's Layers to merge both images.

Camera position has been moved between shots.... not gonna be a simple edit.

Yes I moved camera position, one photo was probably taken a good 5mins later than the other and I was literally hanging out of the window so an edit is going to be difficult, how bad do you think Photo 1 is? I'm starting to quite like it as it is!
