slik EZ vs DX tripods

I am looking for my first tripod have it narrowed down between the Slik pro 330dx and the slik pro 330ez same legs different heads. It appears that the DX head can lock the pan and tilt separately where as the EZ you cannot (it has only one locking mechanism)..does anyone know the advantages or disadvantages of these two heads. Any help will be much appreciated.
