Does anyone know of a small digital camera that allows full video control via remote phone? The GX7 has a lot of what I want but the phone control is only for stills. This is for DIY vlogging to avoid having to run back and forth to the cam every few seconds.

Depends what you mean by full control. Olympus cameras can be remote controlled by phone with their IO.Share app. The EM and PEN lines definitely not sure about their other cameras.

From what I can tell Io.Share does not support video - only stills - same as Canon.

Actually it can. The only issue, and its a stupid issue they should fix, is that no matter what you have the video setting to, for example superfine 4k 50fps, if you use the app it will set the video to Fine, 1080p, 25fps. I guess this is because the app streams the video to the phone and can't handle the higher stream. They should still allow you to keep the higher setting and just use the app as on/off without streaming the video.

Anyways it will do it if you are happy with 1080p 25fps fine quality.

I am puzzled why Olympus does not mention video capability here.

Via the phone, can I start a video, stop it and then delete it?

Also reviews of the io.share app seem to be horrible - is that the experience of people here?

I have only used it a couple times for remote shutter and it worked perfectly for me. But this was before the latest version.
