Great photo! But this is a real problem in BC and a very large portion of the rest of North America. Most of the wildfires in NA are caused by people. Get a grip!!

This one was actually started by lightning. It's out by the Bowron Lakes if you know the area.

Here in Quesnel it is pretty smoky in town, and I woke up to find a thin layer of ash on my truck this morning. Not sure exactly where this smoke is coming from because there are multiple fires around us.

This is shaping up to be a real big fire season in the north.

Thanks, I did increase the contrast already but I will try aadding some more when I get home. I always worry thinks are going to look fake and overcooked if I go too far...

The only good thing about all this smoke is that you can really, really accentuate distance with something like this. Otherwise, it makes most landscape photography terrible.

In Edmonton right now, the smoke is as thick as I can ever remember it being. I'm not even sure which fires it's blowing in from. It's also very yellow as well, it feels like someone grabbed the WB (temp) slider and moved it 1500 degrees to the right.
