Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I didn't know which area of the forum to post this in, but I am somewhat of a beginner.

I use a Canon 300D and anytime I take a photo with a setting other than Program or Aperture Value/Portrait there is a big smudge that I just can't figure out why it's there.
It usually shows up when my shutter speed is slower!

My camera is clean so I don't even know what's going on.. help please!

I've had that problem, too. If your lens is clean, it is most likely inside the lens or inside the camera. If you're not experienced with cleaning inside the camera, there is a possibility of scratching the image sensor and damaging your camera. I would recommend taking it to a professional to be cleaned if you can.

Just out of curiosity... I don't see many "local camera shops" around here, is Ritz somewhere anyone would consider getting a "professional" cleaning?

Have you tried the Yellow Pages? Maybe inquire at a local camera club as well.

Send it to KEH (keh.com) if you don't have a local option and don't want to do it yourself.

cleaning a sensor is a tricky process, do the wrong thing and you'll wish you just had one little spot. Get it done by someone that knows how to do it correctly.

Thanx... let me word that a little more specifically... Would YOU (any of you) let Ritz clean your camera?  ?

If Ritz does clean cameras, then yes, I am sure they would do a fine job. Out here in Arizona, we have Tempe Camera, it is a local camera repair and rental shop. Tempe Camera - Photography Sales, Repairs, Rentals and Lab

Search for a camera repair shop in your area, I would assume every major city has at least one.
