Well, that's what I was going for, anyway. And that was after I could not seem do anything with the color shot that I liked. I finally just converted it and edited in Silver Efex Pro 2.

if your goal was to make this look like a old faded photograph It is my opinion you did a pretty good job.

Never used the program but I think I like it.

Well, it was a little more involved. I originally was going to do a bracketed shot, then PP in Photomatix. I gathered my 7 bracketed images, imported into Photomatix, and proceeded to search for a natural looking high dynamic range look that might work. It just didn't happen. The composition, the colors, maybe the lack of either, it just didn't develop like I wanted. After an hour I gave up, and was about to throw it in the bin.

Then I thought, let's try black and white! Something, anything. So I converted to monochrome in Photomatix, saved and reimported back into Lightroom. Opened it up in Silver Efex Pro 2, and went from there. Maybe 30-45 minutes by trial and error. I'm just not too great with some of this software even after a year of trying. Well, after it started to shape up, i decided to add an old, cracked, weather-worn frame to it. I didn't think that would get a positive reception here, but it's there.

I think they may still have a trial of it, or all of the Nik filters, for 30 days.

My first two weeks here, I put a photo up that didn't get a good response. Week after that it was in canvas and hanging on someone's wall. I caught on right then. Someone says one thing on here, real world someone says something else. it's just the internet...:mrgreen:
