oh my.. well I guess the name "snow angel" made me think girl.. lol in which case, I definitely prefer the SOOC coloring because it makes him appear surely boy there.. I hope I have not offended you. fwiw, I have been asked if my son's a boy or a girl on more than one occasion. haha

Initial glance makes it appear that the child has a five o'clock shadow and that the nose, cheeks and lips were painted pink in photoshop..
I'm pretty sure this is just the skin smoothing overdoing natural highlights and shadows... seriously, zoom out on your browser and look at it "from far"
