Snow Self Portrait

Hey guys!
It was snowing yesterday so I thought I'd go take some pictures! This is my first attempt at a portrait/self-portrait. I shot this with my t3i and kit lens.

I plan on doing a 365 project starting new years day, so I figured it'd be good to start getting in front of the camera and getting comfortable. Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated!

Nice image! Don't care for the head chop.. but you nailed focus pretty well.

They have the project 365 app for Iphone, and 365 photo on Android phones too

It doesn't bother me in the slightest that your head is chopped slightly. It's a technique that's been used by many people and has been fairly successful as far as marketability.

What does bother me is the lack of texture on your skin... It seems quite unnatural. Did you retouch it?

Yeah, there's some retouching. I'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks for the advice!
