Not being having much beer experience I would agree with that.

What I see is a scene with extreme differences in luminosity bet-
ween shadows and highlights where highly reflective snow occu
pies a major part of the frame. The actual value of the said high-
lights is around 190~210 rendering a low contrast view of a scene
containing way more.

It is a difficult challenge to cope with such DR both prior to SR as
it is in PP. May I suggest you let the highlights reach 225~235 so
to include the blinding effect of the scene?

BTW, where would you consider hiding the beer?

Thank you for the feedback. Good eye, because I pulld those highlights back in post, even going so far as to reduce clarity and contrast on everything but the water. They were editing choices and I'm not going to claim they were good... I felt I couldn't get rid of the muddy appearance.

Bright snow with shadows is always a challenge. I think you did well. I'm not seeing anything blown out or particularly muddy. Very hard to strike a balance.

If the beer stays cold, then I figure you're ahead.
