Here's a shot I took at night on the Westside outskirts of Spokane this winter. It was a little after midnight.

It doesn't show that it was taken in the middle of the night. To me it looks like it was taken on one of the usual dull and dreary days of winter we had here for months (from November through February), only did we have them without snow.
