Well I haven't posted much for c&c lately just been too busy. So my goal this year is to share more of what I am keeping busy with shooting etc so I can get better and grow. Now I could post this **** in the beginners gallery because I still consider myself an intermediate beginner we will say hah. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Wintery day in December, sunny then cloudy breaks, I did use OCF till the wind kept blowing crap over. I know I have a bad care of horizontalitis. Always have and will haha but I do crop verticals for a lot of shots or do one in both portrait and landscape orientation. And some are obviously resized for the blog share. Just a really picturesque location so I really wanted to include it in the shots. And well a lot of you know me from the last year here and I hope you see my progression. Dons mah big gal panties.

My most favorite of them all is 5 (left side). I think it has the most emotional draw.

Good job Dee. Personally I would not even attempt OCF. You are already in a big white box (the whole sky is covered in white). Plus I bet it was cold and the last thing you want to do is walking around with a cold metal light post. I think in situation like this your #1 priority is the background. I would try my hardest to find beautiful darker tone background. Shots you want to avoid is like #9 and #19. 9 is better if you move back closer to the vegetation. Do more shots like #11. #20 would be good too if you shoot down more to avoid the white hill (make them kneel or you go higher). I would also fix the red spot on his nose (unless that is a birthmark). Overall I think you did an awesome job.

These are great. I bet the couple was thrilled. The only C&C that stuck out to me was #17. It took a second or two to find the ring as it's kind of blended in.

I agree with Tee; the major negative that stuck out to me was the ring shot. When I first saw that photo, I thought it just looked out of place. Why would you have a random photo of some snowy logs in the middle of these engagement photos?
In fact, if it hadn't been so seemingly out of place, I would probably not have looked closely enough to realize there was a ring there.

4 and 5 are definitely my favorites. Love #13 as well, as a fun shot, although the background in the larger bottom photo is a little distracting.

Great pics. The old doors, car, bus, etc set the theme nicely together too.

Thanks Robin, well you see with every session I do lately I try to get one that I can use for my accreditation with the PPOC and on camera flash or no flash is automatic dismissal of that image, plus I really want to get better at so been forcing myself to use it. What I really could have used was an assistant with reflector rather than the OCF but no one wanted to come play in the snow. See I like the contrast of nine. All on the white background. But honestly I just wanted to give a bit of variety and I really like the location. Thanks for your c&c. Yes I did fix the red spot on his nose in his sneak peeks until I discovered its a birthmark. Yup I agree 100%, her choice on the log. I have others on my flickr page or blog, facebook that I like better. Thats the one she chose.

Thanks, yup I agree with the ring shot too but see above comment. Thanks, yes thirteen was all in the same area as you can see the pipe on the ground and I moved or they moved which brought the old tankers in.

Well, #4 would have been really nice if the guy were kinda looking back towards you and her.

For me, thats where some of these just miss the mark, where one has the "right" look/expression, and the other doesn't.
#5 is just my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks for clarifying that BJ, I do have others but these ones were the ones I used in my blog post and it was easiest to share. I ended up with so many usable images from this session it was hard to stop editting. I am going to look through them some more.

This series beautiful like a flower with petals of precious moments and fragrance of love; which petal adds more beauty i cannot say... they must be enjoyed as a digital album with some music in the atmosphere

I really love the snow ones. I think I would chose photo 4 as my favourite and I like photo 8 too because they look so happy and relaxed. I bet they were very happy with this set. :thumbup:

FYI, if you really want more in-depth C&C, try posting one image at a time and letting us in on the specifics of that particular image. It's great to see the whole set, but when you do that, you'll tend to end up with only "#4 is my favorite" type comments.
