So I found a lens I believe is valuable and don’t want to get ripped off

I well before the shutdown found a Zeiss ikon lens in a storage locker unit, however I have always had a passion for photography. I don’t want to get to take a ride on it and get screwed and am wondering if I could please get some help? I know it’s my first post but I believe this and fishing to be my next two serious hobbies anyways here are pictures. Can you tell me the value, I have someone wanting to pay $220

That's a normal lens for a Zeiss Icarex SLR camera. Icarex cameras are sought after collectibles and can demand fairly high prices but it can also be difficult to find a buyer. Go to ebay and search for the same and look for sold prices to get a value. Here's one for sale on ebay now: Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.8 Ultron for Icarex BM No.7218999 | eBay
and the seller is asking $400.00. But that's an ebay asking price not a sold price. Ebay asking prices are often fantasies. Pricing collectibles is hard. Your $220.00 offer may be pretty reasonable.

I sold one of these not too long ago (reluctantly). It was mint with very clean glass. I believe it went for about $300.

Do you have the front and rear caps? How about a case? Box? If all you have is what we see in the photos, then why not ask $300, and see what happens? You can put it up for sale, listing at $300, and you might sit on it for a year before someone comes along with $280.
