What's new

so i got a dslr and model 8)

My turn, my turn!!!

Killed the vibrance by about 30 points, Reduced the yellows in the highlights and mid-tones and also reduced the reds in the mid-tones. I left the highlighted side of the face because I think it looks better as it is than any efforts to correct it. Some things are best left alone, even if they're not perfect ;) Perhaps its impact could be improved by changing the feel of the whole shot such as darkening that background and creating a much more low-key shot.

You need to work on framing. The shots of the girl are to tight and you clipped several things like her head and her hand and she is falling out of the frame to begin with. Step back some. The shot of the guy is the opposite. Too far away and you should have repositioned to get his head closer to the top of the frame. You have dead space at the top. Clip it or reposition next time. White balance is warm for all shots. White balance goes from blue to yellow. Shoot raw and then adjust if you need to. Try some outdoor shots during the day for practice before you get to the flash and softbox tricks.
