Cant say i agree with trying to get beginners to explore other areas. They're going to rub across too much more advanced info in the other sections and get frustrated as concepts go over their heads.

Even as a beginner I would go thru an entire site for useful information. Esp if your trying to soak up as much info as you can. A topic may run over your head but 3 months down the line you may remember that topic and come back to it with a better grasp. It's not like a pool where if beginners leave the beginners area they will drown. Internet forums have been around for awhile and most people can navigate them easily.
