They will promise you anything. They will tell you anything to get you to join. They will promise you whatever job you want. They will lie to get you to join.

That's for sure. If you don't have it in writing (I'd be surprised if they did put any kind of special offer in writing for you), they never offered it to you.


I wouldn't worry about blowing him off too much, I'm sure they're used to it.
If you really want to join, do it when you're ready - don't let them pressure you into joining right now, they'll still want you and still take you six months from now.
