During my trip to SE Asia I backed up all my shots to my laptop and portable hard drive but in my haste I inadvertantly reformatted a card and lost 222 photos of Angkor Wat and a trip to the biggest lake in SE Asia where the Cambodian "boat people" live.

Reading the forums today I learned it was possible to recover these with software...so I ran RescuePro from SanDisk and it worked!!!

I'm too tired to process a file tonight but stay tuned, I previewed the RAW files and I think I have a dozen or so outstanding shots of life on the lake.

I'm so happy to get these back, you have no idea how much I've kicked myself for being so stupid!

I love the colors in this... and the clothes hanging from the roofing. So much detail to their culture in this !

Thank you. This was a wondrous place. My jaw was dropped for the few hours of my tour. The raw beauty of the land/lake/sky mixed with such sorrow for the impoverished lives. Although only a short side-trip this truly was the peak of my Cambodia tour.

I am so grateful to have been able to retreive the 222 lost photos. Now I have some work to process them

If you look at the full size image you can see kids grooming and a woman sitting. There's quite a bit of hidden detail in the shadows.
