The loss of a good friend is never easy, it must be very hard for you and for the family. I wonder what would have happened had there been someone who could have saved him immediately, we would have laughed about how he slipped and is now out fishing again.
I know exactly how unbearable it is to know that a loved one is no more due to a silly accident like this; I've been through it. I can't even begin to imagine what her wife is going through right now, but I know she has good friends who will help her recover from her shock. In the mean time, know that we are all here with you and if you ever need to talk to anyone I'm right here 24X7. I am so sorry for your loss Sharon.

Just the thought of a scenario like that terrifies me to no end. Not specifically drowning, but just that something so routine and seemingly banal can end in the loss of life like that. It's almost surreal.
