I really don't like the whole casino thing either. But Vegas does have some great photo ops. I've heard the Valley of Fire is absolutely beautiful. We passed it on the way home from Zion but were too bushed to stop. Then there is Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and of course Zion is only a couple of hours away. Even downtown Vegas is cool to photograph at night. Lots of lights and the Bellagio's fountain show is very cool.
