Soft and Pink

These 2 photos were taken this morning with natural light using the 18-70mm kit lens. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

The first image is really good. Composition, color, clarity, contrast and exposure are all right on. It looks to be sharpened a tiny bit too much, but it's a very good image.

I don't care for the second image too much.

Thanks for the comments. The sharp edges around the exterior of the flower may be due to changing the background as this was a new process for me and I probably didn't set the magic wand properly, but as far as overall sharpening of the photo, it's something I forgot to do on this one.
