Soligor 28mm F2.8 - F mount? Work on d3000?

I know that these Soligor lenses have like 21 different variants with different manufacturers. I do not know which of those my lens is.

This lens came off my grandfathers Nikkormat FTn which to my knowledge has the same F mount as my d3000. I took the above pictures so that someone more knowledgeable than myself can verify that this is the case. So my question is can I use this lens with the mount it has on my d3000? Cursory attempt to fit them together did not feel "right," so I stopped and made these pictures because I am uncomfortable possibly forcing it in a way it doesn't want to go. I know this is a trivial question:answer to someone that knows what to look for so I appreciate anyone taking the time to respond.

Hellz yeah! The "Baby Nikons" (a name I take credit for inventing several years back...) have NO minimum aperture sensing pin AND they have no AI coupler...so....anything in F-mount (except invasive fisheyes and the ancient, highly-collectible 21mm f/4) will pop right on there. Nikon has used the SAME, manual, mechanical aperture stop-down design since the original F back in 1959...

So yeah... Soligor 28 FTW!!!!

With your post in mind I tried to again to get it on and it did not cooperate. Something isn't working. I'll have to examine the connection myself and see what is not lining up correctly.
