    I am in the process of buying a new compact digital camera (I cannot afford SLR etc. Budget = 200EUR).
    After some 'research' I am left with these 2 types:
    * Canon SD1200 IS (= IXUS 95)
    * Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7

    Any experience with these 2 camera's?
    Which one would you recommend?

    Thanks for any help offered ;)

    I don't know anything about the Canon, though you are probably fine with either one.

    I have the Panasonic dmc-fz50 and I do like it. I want something else, but that something else is not in my budget right now (I have it all picked out down to lenses [insert drool here]). Point is, I have been very happy with the Panasonic - it takes nice crisp photos.

    Here's my 3yo in an unposed snapshot last week:

    Mine is 2 years old now, though, and I'd bet they have made strides in technology since then. The reviews, from my quick peek, look great. Read the reviews to see if they both suit your needs and if it's a draw, see which one goes on sale first. ;)
