Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi there, now that I've brought some order to my photos I can upload a few more shots from my african safari from a couple of years ago.

Took these at a croc farm close to Pilansberg iirc.

The first thing I learned in LR is that a little goes a long way. Push the sliders way over then back off till it looks good.

WAY too much.

I actually think the problem with the first one is that it is already too..something. Too contrasty, too sharp, I don't know. But it's "harsh." It's hard to separate croc from water. Otherwise, it would be a really cool shot.

EDIT: On further reflection, I think Rick50 is spot on. Pull those sliders on up, then back off until it looks good. Because that over the top edit DID at least achieve separation between the water and the croc. You may even want to do them as separate layers, to adjust their levels separately.

Otherwise:
I like #2, the perspective is nice. But having the very back of the tail cut off is a bit unfortunate, and it seems just a touch flat. Maybe up the contrast on it a little as well.

I like #3 the best, as far as sharpness and clarity, but wish there was just a little more of the croc in the shot.

Yep, I did that to separate the croc from the water. I should probably do something like a 'graduated filter' but I'll have to watch a few videos to see how its done lol! I thought I went ott with #3 as well. But I did very little on that shot in post processing...
