Here are some first 35mm shots I did. I'd like feedback on how I can improve on these.

Lightning Photos - I'm pretty sure it was expired 400 speed film I was using. I know that I should have used a shutter cable! I just wanted to try some lightning photos.

I really enjoy the the first and second photos of lightning the most! The others have to much grain. I usually don't enjoy grain, but for the second photo it fits. The other lightning ones need improvement. What speed film should I use for lightning/long exposure shots?

The picture of the piano with candles all over it is to gray I think (overexposed?). Any ideas on how to do it better. I left the shutter open for 1 second, at f3.5.
