Here are a few loon shots that I've gotten this summer.

In the morning mist. I call this Looney Tunes.

From a much clearer morning.

There were 10 in the area, but I could only fit 7 into the frame.

Oooo, I love these pics! Loons are a bird I don't often get to see, and when I do they're off in the distance. You got some good captures here. My fave is the first...it's an out-of-the-ordinary pose, and I like the hazy background.

Ha! It all the gear.
I used a Canon 5DMKII with a Canon 300 F2.8is lens with a Canon 2X tc.
CS3 for processing.

Have you ever seen the loons flapping their wings, hitting the water and moving around on the top of the lake.

How about a shot from the back.
