It probably is, it was my first real try at indoor photography, and was having a real hard time of it. I took tons and there were only a couple that I felt even really turned out halfway well. Plus it was a cloudy day, so I wasn't getting much help from the window light.

Nothing stands out from this set like in your other couple threads.

#1's a little gray.. not seeing any bright white highlights. Maybe you darkened and clipped the highlights a little with a levels adjustment?

#2's about a stop underexposed. Brighten it up some and I think it'd look nice. It would be better if their feet were in the frame as well.

#3's a bit blurry around the eyes.. something you almost never want in photos of people, unless you have a reason. Also it kinda looks like she's looking at something in the room, not out the window.

Yeah, I really wish that their feet had been in the shot. That is what makes the one of just my daughter by the railing in one of my other threads so much better I think. In #2 also, this was the first time working with such dramatically different skin tones, and it was much harder than I thought that it would be. I think that in my second day of shooting, which this is the first day, I did much better. I had a hard time editing these because something that looked good on my daughter, then didn't look good for my niece. The second day I metered off of the lighter skin tone, and had much better luck. I wish that I had knew to do that the first day, because I messed up some really good shots.
