Some of our local "Birds"

Hi,
This is my first thread. thought you might like to see a sample of the birds we get in our back garden.

These two are "lorikeets" we have dozens that come to feed near our back window. This particular one is quite unusual as it was born without tail feathers and its wing feathers are quite stunted. In this condition, they call them "runners" because they can't fly, but just scramble [run] everywhere.

This one of course, you should all know is a Kookaburra or Laughing Jackas. They have a very significant call and sound as though they are laughing. Trust you find them interesting. Philip.

HELP, HELP, Wot have I done wrong, I downloaded the images via "Photobucket" but nuthin ain't appeared. Have I offended "Photobucket" or what. I checked my previous images in other posts, and the've disappeared as well. Philip.
