Some older pictures, C&C

I have been looking through pictures from a few years back, and I realize I was a little more adventurous before I took a break from photography. Now that I take it more seriously, I should probably get back some of the original vision I had. These are old, so the camera wasn't very nice at all, and I see a lot I would do differently now, but I do like them. Any suggestions/comments are welcome..though i dont have the originals of either to show in color.. Thanks!

Well, it's hard to comment on the first because of the comment you made. I am sorry for your loss. Was this picture before or after her passing?

For the second, its a bit tilted, not a huge fan of the conversion, but it's not terrible. Looks like you chose a great spot for the shoot.
