I like the second and third. You have some beautiful countryside there. For the first, I think the dynamic range was just beyond what can be captured in a photograph. The background is overexposed and the subject is underexposed. Conditions like that are a good time to move to the shade or use a natural reflector or fill flash. Tell your uncle to keep it up. I would love to see more of Mongolia.
