Amazingly Good! Worthy of the pages of national geographic! Were they all candid? Were some posed? Did you ask before shooting? I really love the last one.

Hi, thanks for all the positive comments. Much appreciated.

In answer to your question: I guess you could say that all the shots were candid, in a much as they weren't posed as such. However, I found that people in Burma were generally so keen to have their photograph taken that it was sometimes difficult to get the shot without them posing for me (the young monks are a good example here).

For example; I was walking through some rice fields when I spotted three women in the distance planting rice. I needed to use the long end of my 75-300 lens to bring them close enough. Anyway one of them spotted me and quickly told her two friends. They immediately downed tools and stood side by side smiling for the camera!

I'd always been uncomfortable taking shots of people in foreign countries - However, I found I gained real confidence in Burma, just by being friendly, saying hello in their language, smiling and showing them the camera before taking the picture. Or just by hanging around the place long enough that I became part of the furniture and people started to not notice that I was there.

I've got some more 'people pictures' from Burma which I'll try to post here soon.
