Some Quick C&C Please

There isnt much to comment on, but Id like to fish for ideas on this shot.

Is it too soft, or does it work? Thanks!

For a quick and "dirty" critique, it is underexposed quite a bit, subject is too centered and doesn't follow rule of thirds (would be better on this shot), and your white balance is off....too warm. Baby's skin tone is too red and the entire image has a magenta cast.

White balance fixed.

I use UFRaw to load my files into GIMP, and it saved the WB levels I had from another photo. I didnt realize how bad it was until I reset it lol. Ill hafta remember that next time.

The glowing shoes are a result of them being overexposed. They're probably reflective, which makes it easy to overexpose them while not quite getting enough light in the rest of the picture.
