Some random beginner pics

Hi. I'm messing around trying to learn the basics of photography and post processing. Here is a picture of my cat. All tips appreciated.

Picture looks pretty sharp - but why did you frame up so close? I think the blurred (blanket?) in the foreground is distracting too - not doing anything artistically, for me, anyways. Colors looks good on the cat.

yeah, colors are good, couldve gone with backing up a little and taking out that white thing in the foreground, and try not to cut off the ears too
