here are some pics i've taken recently...for the macro shots i actually used an old camcorder lens inverted. i actually like the shallow DoF and the stretching.

I like the variety of textures in these photos...I like the third and the apple

That first one is pretty bad IMO. Just looks awfully point-and-shoot. But on the other hand, your macro shots are really quite nice. Very sharp and detailed. I especially like the book edge and the apple for their composition. The B&W shot with the pond is also nice.
