It takes less than one second to hit the return button on the keyboard.

There I just did it.

I did it again.

It wasn't hard.

People want to help but you've posted 4 or 5 times and blatantly ignored the reasonable suggestion that your post somewhat resemble English.

So, what you are saying is, she spent more time complaining about her life than hitting the return key?

Crazy mom, I can suggest two other forums you might enjoy.

And

^this one is particularly sympathetic to moms with cameras, and geared toward childrens portraiture.

Thank you so much! Right now, time is not something I have and what I do have of it, is very limited. I know how to use my camera and all of it's functioning. I have tons of books and belong to many photography groups so I am getting and soaking up tons of knowledge. I simply tried to squeeze in a desperate post before while doing MANY, MANY other things. I can say that everyone has successful made me feel as if humanity as a whole are just JERKS whithout a heart. Let me say this......perhaps there was someone on this site who wasn't able to afford an education and all they had was their photography? How do you think those comments would make them feel? I, was just being rushed ......I do have a degree and a career so this does not apply. Although my question might have sounded OBVIOUS to everyone......we all started out somewhere and worked our way up. So, basic to you, not so basic to me.
tirediron...thank you so much for your help! I will start saving.

Since you have an education and a career then you know that the above sample is not grammatically correct.

Instead of .... Why don't you hit enter.

... This is an ellipsis and it is used in place of one or more words to complete a sentence. For example when quoting someone but don't want or need all the extra words you would use an ellipsis. Basic grade school grammar.

The majority of us are busy people. A lot of people on here do make a living from their photography.

IT'S CALLED....NO TIME TO MYSELF. A two year old hanging on my leg, a 5 month old literally nursing from me, dinner on the stove, and two school age kids who need help with homework. It's called one hand typing....if that!
Call the waaahmbulance.

Its on the way....

You can’t just buy yourself an entry level DSLR with a kit lens take photos of your family and one day say I going pro, it takes much more than taking good photos of your kids to be a pro, you really need to understand the exposure triangle, your really need to know how to use your white balance not just using the cloudy day setting but you need to know the temperature of light, shooting in manual mode doesn’t automatically make you a pro.

People pay professions for a profession result, for the equipment they can’t afford and for the knowledge that take years to accrue.

I’m not downing on you we all started at the bottom, it took me 10 years and (4 of them was a uni studying photography full time) to get to my stage.

To the OP, I would say you have a half dozen people you can go ahead and add to your ignore list.

As far as your question, from what I can gather, you are looking for some feedback on your images.

Here is the link that explains how to post your pictures to a thread: http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/...forum-functions-pictoral-guide-using-tpf.html

Post them here, or start a new thread. Heck, this one is a wreck and probably won't be recovered.

In any case, post the images, explain what it is you like about them, explain what you thought could have been better...ask specific questions about what you feel wasn't what you wanted. Generally, posting 3-5 is a good place to start.

Sorry you got to experience this forum's worst on your first day. Good luck to you.

..of course I know I know it wasn't grammatically correct.

Thank you so much, Kerbouchard. I know this sounds lame and I'm sure I will take heat for this next comment. I am literally sitting at my computer in tears. Pathetic, I know! I completely feel like an inadequate person because I was in a rush and didn't value my grammar and sentence structure. I am sorry because I obviousely deeply offended people. Sometimes online sites and forums are so dehumanizing. I wasn't looking to make helping me difficult. I was merely looking for some comradery. Again, I am sorry...=(

It's sad when I'm the nice one...I'm usually a complete ass. I just don't like bullies or mobs, and that's what most of the posters in this thread have acted like.

I know KmH can't help it...all he knows how to do is criticize grammar, link to government websites about small businesses or link to a website about copyright law, but I expected more out of the rest of the posters. Piling on was just unnecessary. That's why Bill gave you a 'back' button. No one forced anybody here to read any of it.

Now that I'm off my soapbox...post some pics so I can criticize the heck out of them. :D

Edited to add: Oh, for what it's worth, I did take a look at your gallery...well, some of them, anyway. Your focus is off in several, your white balance is all over the place, and the lighting in the ones I looked at do not look like a lot of thought went into them. It looks more like you took the shot in front of you rather than creating the shot that you wanted. You're not ready to go pro. Post a few of your favorites and we'll go from there.

So I says to Mabel...

"Mabel," I says, "I'm gonna go browse TPF looking for a train wreck..."

Took me all of 20-30 seconds.

Woot.

Oh, one last thing for my soapbox...Just decided to re-read the Site Rules and Regulations. Didn't see anything in there about grammar or paragraphs. I did see this:

Site Rules and Regs said:
TPF prides itself on encouraging friendly and open discourse regarding photography. Personal attacks on any members as well as TPF Staff will not be tolerated, and these posts will be deleted and the instigators possibly banned.

OP, English is not my primary language. And I often have grammatically or spelling mistakes (you may even find them in this post). However, I seldom received bad comments regarding my English even when they don't quite understand what I really meant. I believe it is not the language, it is the way you presented it. :) Please don't take this negatively, I am not here to offend you, just want you to understand.

For your own advantage, it is better to spend a little time to create your post so that those who are able to help you will spend the time and offer advice. To receive a respectful response, you may want to respect others first. Good luck. :)
