Had a bit of a play with this, layered onto a black ground. Only my second B&W shot. Comments and tips please clicky for high res
I think it looks bloody good!! Especially the high res version. The right eye (camera left) is a bit dark, but it can't be helped and it's sufficiently visible that it's not a distraction. And I like how the dark feathers eventually fade into the background.
Definitely looks good at high res - the smaller version could perhaps stand a little more sharpening though - like the conversion too.
Oh yeah Hoppy I forgot to say... As chauffeurs go you a pretty rubbish photographer. no I'm just kidding or am I?? no I am, your a terrible Chauffeur again kidding or am I!!??! I can see this reply going on for hours no I can't! or can I? no! Stop it Andy or will I??!!
Great shot. Would work even better if the right eye was illuminated as well as the left to get the intensity of the stare.

The small version is a direct link from the high res one but I guess has been auto compressed to fit somewhere So I guess your other snail, I mean chauffeur, will be on duty from now on then!!! :greenpbl: Tell you wot, I think I shall now go to Singapore and tour Tasmania for the next 4 WEEKS while you stand in the shop listening to wedding plans and watch google earth to help pass the time :mrgreen: Didn't want to brighten the eye too much and lose the moody effect, but you are right it would have helped the stare a bit. No he's just CRACKED!!!
