Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I think I got into photography so I'd be the one with the camera and nobody would take pictures of me.

Tonight I was fiddling around with different settings, just to do a little trial and error, but man-o-man, I cannot take a decent self portrait! Every time I take one I see something that I don't like, as if the picture doesn't depict the way I see myself. They do say that some people photograph better than others, but ouch. So either I've got a really skewed idea of what I should look like, or maybe I'm just that ugly. :lmao:

Anyone else run into this, or are all you beautiful people picture perfect? ;)

I have that problem until I put my photo into photoshop.

Well if your profile pic is accurate, its probably because you are made of Legos. I'd suggest re-arranging some of your blocks to fit your specifications. But seriously, no one likes pictures of themselves. I find that my face usually looks flatter and fatter, particularly if a flash was used. But since you have your own camera, might I suggest setting up interval timer mode and then try out a bunch of things until you find what you like. Then repeat. Ever notice how all pictures of young women are the same? (one leg turned, hand on hips with elbows out)? its because they practice.

Taking the pictures is easy enough, I have a remote, so I can set up the shot any way I like. It just takes forever to get anything I like. I just realized I hadn't taken a picture of myself in over a year so I started messing with self portraits again. Then I remembered why I hadn't taken a picture of myself in over a year.

I have an identical twin brother, I like photos of him better than those of me. Go figure...

^ Haha, Phil! I have friends that are identical twins, and they never like shots of themselves, but always like the shots of their twin sister, lol

And Juice, I totally understand :(

.........the picture doesn't depict the way I see myself.........

The problem is....... you rarely actually see yourself. And when you do, you're not that critical of yourself. Such as, when shaving in front of a mirror. You're not interested in your looks at the time.

Show the shots to someone else.... they'll probably think they're good shots.
