Soo, are the peeps ready for fire work shots tomorrow?

I've found a place to document our pretty lame show. Fireworks have been banned in Norway, at least those rockets we used to send up. Just batteries and stuff people are using. And where I live we have maybe 50 houses = 50 families, most of whom won't bother spending much steel on these things. Still, I'm hoping to get some nice shots of the place I live with, hopefully, some neat colours in the sky

I'm planning on using my ultra wide angle 12-24mm lens for this. Results will be posted!

my daughter and i have been gearing up for the fireworks. reading and studying on how to get the best shots since we are beginners.


and we discovered today.... no fireworks anywhere within a reasonable drive !!!! our city and all neighboring cities. nothing.

My family in Houston said that there is a ban on fireworks shows this year. Not sure if this applies to your area as well or not though.

Looks like they may have lifted it down where my parents live. May have to make a road trip this weekend.

It's just been a crazy, dry year. Still a little bummed we couldn't do anything for the 4th of July. Oh, well, there is always next year.

In my part of Texas the fire ban is over, I believe. The fireworks stands are open.

Details schmetails Anyhoo, apparently some local, newly educated pyro dude is going to put together a proper show.....or at least as proper one can expect in our small municipality If I can convince the rest of the folk to drive there (7 minutes), maybe I'll get some decent shots. There's even a lake with possibilities for reflections! Oh sweet jesus moist q-tip, this might be epic!

The way they were talking on the news, it sounded like there would be at the AA center.

I don't feel like driving to Dallas and dealing with all the traffic, finding a parking spot, etc - so we're just going to stay home. My wife's b-day is New Year's Eve too, so we're just going to go out to eat then chill at the house. Nothing going on here (in Greenville) that I know of...

Regarding to firework shoots, any tips on dealing the smoke? The smoke in the picture is always distracting.

I was planning to go tomorrow nights to London Eye but one of my friends back out so in that cold weather I prolly sit in and watch it from the telly.

Concerning the smoke, try and get on the opposite side of it..... meaning the wind is blowing the smoke away from you, not toward you.


I've been in the Eye once, and I was pissed the whole time LOOL too many people in there, and waaaay to hot!
